The Onboard Award is open to every organization worldwide that wants to shine a light on its onboarding program.

For over 5 years, Appical has organised the Onboard Award. With past winners KPMG, PepsiCo Latin America, Wortell and Talent&Pro the best experiences are awarded.

This shows a high level of understanding the importance of great onboarding for new employees.

Nina te Riele

Teacher L&D at HAN University, L&D professional of the year

Nina te Riele works at the Learning & Development in Organizations course at the Arnhem and Nijmegen University of Applied Sciences (HAN). She is an enthusiastic L&D professional with a passion for the profession that she is currently passing on to the new generation!

She has a big heart for designing creative and effective learning and/or onboarding processes and for the smart application of learning technology. In December, thanks to the convincing nomination of her students, she won the Develhub award for L&D professional of the year.

Anke Noordhoek

Teamleader/Advisor Learning & Development at KPMG Nederland

Welcoming people and making people feel at home is Anke's passion, both in the workplace and at home. She puts this into practice every day within the KPMG Learning & Development team, where she enthusiastically works on the onboarding of new colleagues.

After developing a completely virtual onboarding program during COVID, she and her team launched a completely new and blended onboarding journey of 100 days last year. With this program, KPMG won the Onboard Amsterdam 2022. She is looking forward to sharing her knowledge and passing on this recognition this year!

Kirsten de Roo

Founder at Pulse Recruitment

Kirsten de Roo is a trainer and mentor. Kirsten has more than 15 years of experience in helping employers find and retain the right people in the right place.

Onboarding plays a crucial role in this. She is the author of the book 'staff shortage starts with yourself' and 'the perfect match'. With her books she wants to make employers think about their own mindset and give them the tools to take control of their staff shortage
